BatNav and Engenuity Solutions have joined forces to develop a new product for the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) market.
Engenuity Solutions is an Australian engineering delivery company with extensive experience in design and procurement of batteries for major players such as AGL, shopping centres and a number of large over 55’s resort developers. Providing innovative solutions, as proven by the Surf Lakes Wave Pool in Yeppoon, the Energy Maestro system and their own BESS which is tailored to the Australian Standards; Engenuity Solutions is the right partner for BatNav to disrupt the C&I market.
The C&I market includes businesses that self-generate electricity from solar PV, require emergency backup power, or community batteries within an embedded distribution/generation network. The demand is rapidly growing with businesses actively managing the risk of electricity reliability, and local governments investing in community batteries. According to Navigant Research, revenue for the C&I segment is predicted to increase from $968.4 million in 2016 to $10.8 billion by 2025. In power capacity terms, this translates to an increase from 499.4 MW in 2016 to 9.1 GW in 2025
BatNav will leverage it’s premier scalable platform, CellEngineer, to deliver expertise to the C&I market available online, anywhere, anytime. This product will provide two packages of deliverables for design and procurement of batteries from 0.25 to 5MWh.
With this new product, businesses that are planning to install a battery can obtain engineering services at a fraction of the cost and time.
To support customers in their project, BatNav maintains a partner network including Engenuity Solutions to complete any tasks that are not automated by CellEngineer.
BatNav will be ready to launch in the fourth quarter of 2021 and is confident that CellEngineer for C&I will quickly capture the market and generate subscriptions and revenue for BatNav in 2021.
